Hello Everyone,
The day has finally arrived! Departure Day!!! Everyone is packed (except my mum). Last night we had our last training session in NZ before the competition.
There are always the plus and minuses of travelling. A good thing before our trip is that I get lots of cards from my friends and family. I now have six very nice cards to read. Another good thing is that we got to go and buy activities for the plane. We also bought some kiwi souvenirs for any friends we meet in China. There are 18 different countries competing so are bound to meet lots if new people. We also went to the Candyman store in Mt Eden to buy lollies for the long plane trips with our good family friend Nalini, thanks Nalini. A not so good thing though is that we are leaving NZ at midnight tonight (very late for my brothers and I). The plane trip to Hong Kong is 12 hours then we are at the Hong Kong airport for 5 hours then we fly from Hong kong to Tianjin which will take 3 hours then we go on a 3 hour bus trip to Beijing and thats just the first day with 23 hours of non-stop travel. Luckily I will be with my 2 friends Rangi and Jenny.
I hope you all had a good holiday and are working hard. I miss Rm 22 a lot and I wanted to go to school so badly yesterday as well as today there isn’t too much to do at home now that I’m packed. My brothers were lucky because they got to go and see their teachers at school. I walked down to the lights and got to see The Joshes, Thomas, Naomi, Jack and Ella which was very good. I would like to know what you guys are doing at school so please keep me updated. I will post again when we have internet connection at an but bye for now. Tessa
P.S Charlotte how did your diving nationals go?
